Local nonprofit Invest DSM is committed to strengthening neighborhoods and creating opportunities for the people who live in them. As their team got closer to launching their community-focused programs in four designated areas around the Des Moines metro, the organization needed a logo and brand that reflected the vibrant work they do within our community.
Project7 Design worked with the InvestDSM team to develop a colorful logo and accompanying brand elements that root the nonprofit in its mission to help people across the city improve their homes. Print materials like business cards and letterhead give the organization a cohesive visual identity while buttons and yard signs help get their name out within the community. These elements carry through into Invest DSM’s website, which highlights the nonprofit’s specific neighborhoods of focus, outlines their programs and gives community members more information about how to apply for assistance. Bold graphics paired with subtle micro animations make this website dynamic while keeping the important information potential partners need at its core.
Starting a new organization is not easy; there are so many things to do. We know that branding is really important but creating an identity from scratch can feel overwhelming. Project7 Design made it easy and fun. They were with us from the initial idea phase of our logo and brand through the launch of our first website. They gave us multiple brand concepts to choose from and their process really helped us refine how to present what Invest DSM is all about to the world.
