Get Creative with Holiday Cards

P7 Holiday card that says "Sip Sip Hooray"

At p7, we get positively giddy when we work on holiday cards, because oh, the possibilities! Gone are the winter landscapes and boring, generic greetings. We’re all about innovation, and we can help you create something that is completely unique and tailored to your business. Case in point: our own holiday cards! We send them faithfully each year, but the look and feel are completely different, which captures our agility, creativity, and passion for thinking outside of the box. Here’s a quick rundown of our last five holiday cards…

Holiday Cards in the Rearview

In 2017, our theme was button up for next year, and we added actual 1” buttons that we printed and made by hand with this handy button maker onto the card over the designed buttons. We dig having a fun takeaway from our holiday card, and buttons are an easy way to get our brand out into the world.

The next year, we decided to share our love of tiny hands with the world in a fun pencil kit. We designed pencils with p7 catchphrases and added a tiny hand to give our customers a high five. Even now, three years later, the tiny hands make regular appearances at our office.

In 2019, we went with a party theme and worked with Sticker Mule to make custom coasters. These were fun and clearly branded with our colors and catchphrases, plus they were eco-friendly and easy to mail. We still see those coasters sometimes when we’re out meeting with clients and it makes our hearts so happy.

2020 was the weirdest year ever so we knew we had to somehow capture that weirdness in our annual holiday offering. Honestly, by December, we just felt so dang grateful to have survived the pandemic apocalypse and to be able to start thinking about something else for a bit. Our theme of “rebooting” in the new year was timely and resonated with our customers (and fellow business owners). Plus, the little robot pins we made were so flipping cute—I mean, who doesn’t love a tiny robot?

So what do all of these wacky ideas have in common? Sure, they’re cute and silly and fun. But they are also memorable. They put our fun, funky personality on full display while also showing our customers what we can do. That’s a win-win for sure!

Go Beyond Basic

When you start thinking about your next holiday card, we encourage you to think outside the box, beyond the generic holiday greetings and sentiments. Think about:

  • What is your organization known for?
  • Do you have catchphrases or words that are embedded in your culture or your day-to-day interaction?
  • What were some of the past year’s most memorable and awesome projects?

These are all great questions to help get the creative juices flowing. And when you’re ready to launch a cool, new holiday card into the world, we’re just a phone call away. We would love to help you noodle through ideas and help you create something that captures your unique vibe while also making your customers smile.

And yes, in case you’re wondering, our 2021 holiday card is already underway, but we’re mixing it up this year by sending a Valentine’s-themed greeting early in 2022. We can’t wait for you to see it!
