WAYWARD SOCIAL

In late 2016, my wife and I had decided to purchase a run-down, defunct bowling alley in Marshalltown. The center had gone by the name “Totem Bowl”. With this acquisition, we knew we had to start from the ground up on any form of brand development, and there was never any question where we were turning to build the brand. We renamed the center to Wayward Social, and about a year ago asked P7 Design help to turn this new brand into one of the premier entertainment center names in the state of Iowa. Eight months ago, we begun the physical project of turning this near-dilapidated alley into a high-end facility with the use of modern colors, fonts, patterns, and textures. From custom designed masking units, to a whimsical arcade mural, to our in-house marketing through digital displays, P7 has gone far beyond the traditional means of marketing and has put their stamp on almost every aspect of design at our center. P7 had also built Wayward Social’s website and worked with our credit card processor as well as a third-party company whose platform enables us to accept online lane reservations, to ensure all graphics and language are seamless and fall within our brand.

Project 7 breathe new life into brands and design with heart, passion and experience. Not only do they provide creative angles to differentiate our marketing campaigns, but they also share insights and collaborate strategically about how to take the project to the next level. They are a crucial piece in our campaigns success and a piece I would not want to remove. I have worked with Bridget over the past 10 years on many different projects and Kat for the past year, and I would (and have) recommended their unparalleled service to others.

Project 7 developed the brand for my practice that I’d always wanted but didn’t know was possible. They took the time to get to know me and my practice. They were able to zero in on the message that I wanted to convey and convert that message into current and cool, yet timeless branding that I love. And they made the process an absolute blast! Thank you P7 – I can’t wait for my next excuse to work with you!

Project 7’s work impresses us in numerous ways. P7 has taken the time to understand our organizational image and goals. They listen and learn what we are seeking, deliver beautiful design ideas for our consideration, and does it all in a timely manner with excellent communication skills. We are grateful for their ability to literally read our minds and deliver a design that perfectly symbolizes our vision. When feedback or revisions are needed, new versions of the design or any modifications are made very quickly. We really appreciate P7’s flexibility and efficiency. Premier genuinely values our partnership with P7 and views their team as an extension of our organization. Nothing but love for P7!

THE CONSULTANCY

I have worked with the team members at Project 7 on both for-profit and non-profit projects for more than five years. I return to them again and again because of their willingness to understand the goals and their ability to ask the right questions to set my projects up for success. Working with them is a collaboration resulting in what is best for the project at hand and while each of us grow to be better thinkers on all that we do. I appreciate all I learn from them and that they are willing to learn from me. We’re better together.

I first met Bridget Drendel of P7 Design after my ideas for a new kind of blog were turned down by a prominent team of web and graphic designers as ‘not technically possible.’ Bridget took a look with her usual fresh eye and said, “I’m not sure, can you give me the weekend?” I knew then I’d found the perfect marriage of creative and technical prowess combined with a calm, can-do attitude. I’ve since met her full team at P7 and what impresses me most is how they listen. These are not designers who impress their style on a client. Rather these remarkably talented people work hard to distill what you need as a client then raise the bar on your dreams.
